Changed Cluster Now Car Not Starting

Post by dakes2 » Thu Jun 13, 2019 7:17 pm

Hi, I had to change my cluster due to problems with it, so I bought an exact replacement from ebay, all same part numbers etc, the ignition comes on ok and the car locks and unlocks using the remote fob but the car will not start, the immobiliser light is also flashing very fast, I am guessing that something needs programming and the new cluster is not matched to the car, any help on how to do this please, the car is a 2007 C-Max 1.6 tdci zetec

I think PATS was located in the cluster on older vehicles. Search the PATS posts in this and other forums.

I downloaded and saved all the data from the old original cluster and then loaded and wrote it to the new cluster, does anyone know if the new cluster still has to be matched, when i start Forscan it shows my cars correct vin number, i am not getting the fast flashing red light now, but its still not starting which im guessing is an immobiliser problem, the car started ok before i swapped the cluster, i now have this fault code coming up
===PCM DTC P1622-21===
Code: P1622 - Immobilizer ID Does Not Match

Additional Fault Symptom:
- Signal is Above Maximum Threshold

Status:
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
