Octane Adjust Ratio monitoring?

Post by Dragonheart » Sat May 18, 2019 7:43 pm

Hi!

I'm trying to monitor Octane Adjust Ratio parameter available on 2.3 Ecoboost and other Ford motors.

The only similar parameter I've found for PCM module is OCTADJ_R_LRND measured in %. Is this the right one?

Also, other sources like Cobb say it's measured in values from -1.0 (being the best) to 1.0 (being the worst). What is the values range in Forscan? I've seen 76.43% with RON92 fuel, now I have about 90% with RON95. Gonna test RON98 and RON100, but I can't understand how do these percentage values in Forscan correspond to -1.0 - 1.0 range.

Thanks!

I am attaching a screenshot of the PID from my car. You can see the name and change it to Numeric and increase the number of decimal digits.

PID name should still be the same in PC version.

But i found no way to enter the PID Name, there are a lot of PCM Pids available to activate them but i can not find the Ocatan one.
And also no way to enter a custom new PID

Thats what i tried, but this PID is not available in this view for my Focus ST Mk4, does it mean that this parameter does not exist in my Car or that it does not exist in Forscan for my Car ?

Honestly don't know. Maybe @ForScan team can chime in.
