Jaguar X-type Support

Post by oldbod » Sat Jan 24, 2015 3:05 pm

Just wondered if anybody had tried Forscan on an X-type. TDCi in particular. As the MK3 Mondeo is the base platform for this, and I know that at least some of the operational processes ( change how door locks work, add a remote) are the same, I'm hopeful. But I'm also wondering if there's sufficient branding in the pcm software to prevent things working....

Jaguar is not currently supported, unfortunately. But in version 2.1.20 we implemented a workaround so Jaguar X-Type 2.0 with PCM of p/n 4X43-12A650-AN is recognized as Mondeo Mk3 2.0 TDCi. It only reads PCM and FIP modules that are really identical to Mondeo Mk3 ones.

Thanks for the information. A friend has a 2.2 xtype, so just wondered... unfortunately not easy to see pcm number but perhaps worth a try if he gets stuck. Thanks again for a great product.

Hi

I was tried last night to connect with Forscan 2.3.8 to my X-Type 2005 2.0Diesel but no success.

I get an message like "can not identify car in to database".

ELM327 interface is ok, is green on Forscan

Is there any software version that will support Jaguar X - Type ?

I have to recode my injectors after ECU replacement and i really need this lovely software.

Thank you so much in advance.

Regards
Nick
