Connecting to Argentina/Brazil 2005 Ranger 3.0L Diesel

Hi @ForScan, thank you for all your efforts to bring us all this information/software!!! I am new to the forum and it is my first post.

To help a little the project, I bought the ForScan Lite. Anything else can I help too? ;)

As a novice DIY'er, I am getting used with the buses and modules of my car, so I am wondering if I was lucky with the adapter used.

The image below shows the Data Link Connector (DLC). It says that all components are acessible on the HSCAN bus or the ISO bus. In this old nomeclature, The GEM module is called "SJB" (for Smart Junction Box).

I am using a seemingly good ELM327 clone sold at Brazil https://www.multilaser.com.br/scanner-a ... er-au205/p. Tests with ELMIdentifier says it is a v1.5-like ELM327 clone. Connecting with ForScan Lite gives the following:

Code: Select all

Adaptador: ELM327 v1.5
Pausa Mín.: 15 ms (Boa)
Erros: Nenhum

So, for use with ForScan I'm done? ForScan Lite seemed to recognise all onboard modules. Will ForScan recognize modules in the same way as ForScan Lite using this adapter?

Thanks Andyfocus. It works flawlessly, as expected. Good to know that somewhat old cars have all your modules on "common" buses. No need to implement switches at all.
