2018 EcoSport Missing Speed Limit Sign

Post by calogero » Thu Jan 17, 2019 6:33 pm

I have both a 2017 Escape and a 2018 EcoSport and in the Escape on the navigation screen it usually displays a speed limit sign for the road you are travelling (most roads) but in the EcoSport this feature never appears? Shown in the photos are examples of what I am talking about.
Does anyone know how to enable this feature on a 2018 EcoSport?

Thanks to Dan at Sync3Programming.com for finding the correct codes to enable the speed Limit Sign.

To Enable the Speed Limit Sign edit APIM Module configuration (AS BUILT format)
and change line 7D0-01-02 first box from 02EA to 02AA

Works Great, Thanks Dan !!!!

calogero What trim is on your Ecosport? I have the 2018 SES and it does not have the sign either. I went to the dealer and the salesman that sold me it let me test drive the Titanium and that Ecosport had the sign. The dealership cant tell me if it is a trim level option.

Thanks for the feedback calogero, I made the changes in the APIM and it worked perfect. Now all I need is to see if the Auto start stop and be disabled. I tried the F-150 fix (BCM 726-48-02 x0xx xxxx xxxx) but we don't have that high of a number "726-(48)-02 in our BCM module. Thanks again for the post.

This is a feature that I wanna turn on (auto start/stop). My Ecosport 2018 MY havent this feature enabled by default and can't found the codes to turn this on.

Also, great topic about speed limit sign!

Hello!
Does the automatic start-stop function of your car turn off by default and turn on only by pressing the button? If so, I think I need your original car data in this regard, can you send it to me? I need to change the start-stop function of my car to the default turn-off and press the button to turn it on.
Thanks :D

No it defaults on, no way at this time to have it default off as far as I know with forscan. I ended up getting an "Autostop Eliminator" and now it will default off. If I want to turn it on I can press the button.
