08 escape hybrid hcu programming?

Post by bryanw20 » Sun Aug 12, 2018 12:00 am

So it appears my escape needs a $5000 brake hcu =(

Going to try diy repair with one from a junker.

Apparently it needs programming to the same vin.

Any idea if that can be done with forscan and a BT elm327?

If so can you provide what steps I need to take?

OP, did you ever figure this out? I used Autel Maxisys to program VIN. Unfortunately, Maxisys does not include a functional brake bleed routine. Both pressure and manual routines error at after completing the RF wheel bleed procedure.

I'm working on a 2007 mariner hybrid that I had to replace the HCU and need to bleed the brakes to get the HCU to complete initialization (currently code C1525 exists). I have a pressurized bleeder. I'm not clear if Forscan has a functional bleeder routine (like IDS) to complete the job. Thank you.
