ELM327 OBDII Adapter Issue

Post by sean2a » Fri May 18, 2018 1:21 am

I looked at some other threads and now realize this is likely a clone and possibly not even ELM327, but below is the link to the adapter I bought. The result is I can connect to Forscan but when I try to open up most of the modules, like the BdyCM, I keep getting the error "This adapter has CAN bus compatibility problems and can not be used in some functions. Service Procedure has been interrupted" Am I SOL or is there anything I can try?

Howdy;

Yes - SOL. That adapter is useless to you - return it.

I bought a V1.5 ELM327 OBD2 OBDII CAN-BUS ith USB connection (https://www.walmart.com/ip/2017-Hot-Sal ... /283549276) It can not connect to my 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium (it has no switch for HS/MS) Is ita a problem of not being able to get the correct drivers? Or this one willnot ork ith my car?

Jeebus H.W. Chrispy - don't you folks do ANY research before buying junk like this??? :shock: :roll:

There is an entire section of this forum dedicated to helping folks avoid garbage and acquire a fully functional adapter!

Like this, fer example: http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6142 ... Scroll down to Section 4.

Return the POS you wasted yer money on - you NEED HS/MS CAN support or it's useless to you. And ... NO gawddamn software driver is gonna mitigate a hardware deficiency! How the Fek do ye come up with this nonsense? :lol:

Spend some quality time actually READING the valuable information already posted - fer yer benefit - and Invest in a good reliable device. Or, do nothing ( as you apparently have been doing), and continue to waste yours - and everyone else's - time.

Salut

I was getting the same error when tried to Run IC.
I solved it by turning the ignition fully on (i.e. press Start button twice)
