I have a 2008 2.0 140 Galaxy which surges. It is particularly noticable at full throttle. Below is a capture of it under cruise conditions. The surging is appent only when there is large changes in the vane position voltage (blue), so for example starting at 0.00 and 4.45. When there is big changes in vane position voltage, it lacks power, but then when they clear up, it pulls well.
When the car is started from cold, there engine stumbles a little every now and again. The EGR changes goes from high to low at the start of each of these stumbles.
Based on this, my best guess is that there is a vacuum leak, but I've not found a diagram to work out how to test this. Am I on the right track or should I be looking elsewhere?
