Speed limiter removal

Post by re875959 »

Hi guys, This is my first post on the forum so sorry if its been asked before, but I am trying to turn off the 80 mph speed limiter setting on my 2013 f550. I browsed through modules and the super duty spread sheet and couldn't find anything. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Can't do it with Forscan. The speed limiter is in the PCM, and Forscan does not support PCM modifications. You need a hand held tuner.

I’m assuming it’s the same on a 2013 F250. Does the extended version of Forscan allow modifications to the PCM?

The speed limiter is in the PCM module. My forscan was able to open it however it stated it was read-only data. I have the OHP wireless adapeter HS/MS can switch.

The above poster is correct. Speed limit is part of "mykey". Read the post by Forscan team on how to delete mykey.
