ELM not found, check connection.

Post by armykyle1 » Mon Jul 17, 2017 11:52 pm

I've done multiple searches to find a solution to my issue, but none have work.

I'm running windows 10 and using this device. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F0 ... UTF8&psc=1

I've deleted and updated the drivers multiple times. I'm still getting ELM not found. I tried multiple configurations under the forscan setting, nothing. Tried the switch in both positions, nothing. My computer does see the device.

I booted up my old XP laptop and it seems to be having the same issue. Possibly a defective device?

Maybe this will help you

(If ELM327 USB isn't setup properly as per instructions below — then OBD software will not even detect the cable — let alone connect to the vehicle.)
