2010 Ford Escape Limited PATS key failed programming

Post by bhzsem » Tue Apr 04, 2017 4:13 pm

Hoping someone might have an explaination for this.
I'm trying to program keys for my 2010 Ford Escape Limited. With the forscan update I'm finally able to have the option to for PATS programming. It connects fine and with the programmed key in the ignition I started the programming process, during the 12 minute gain security access phase, at 66% 3 times in a row it times out and gives an error message that says "Programming PATS key failed" (screenshot attached). It then kicks me out. It allows me security access if I go to the option to erase keys but for some reason won't let me past 66% for programming. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!

Just thought I'd let anyone reading this know that I was able to add a key to my 2011 Escape without an issue.
