I am getting codes B10D7:05-48 and B10D7:51-08 on the key when trying to program a new key to the ignition of my 2014 F150.

B10D7:05-48 System programming Failures
B10D7:51-08 Not Programmed

What can be done. I was able to successfully get the Fob paired with the truck to where I can remote start the truck but cannot get the key to program
I have the same issue when trying to program my new key to my truck “2014 f150” fob pairs just fine but the key won’t programe I get “started system fault”. I still need to check the code on it with FORScan.

Have you had any success with your key programming?

I also have the same problem with my '14 F150 XLT 5.0.
Dealership only gave me one key when I bought it 3 weeks ago. I can't get the 2 i purchased to program. Did you have any luck?

Unfortunately I found out that the chip inside the new key I bought wasn’t any good so I returned it and got a new one. After I got the new it paired just fine

Forgot to mention that you can also buy the chip separately and insert it to the new one that’s not working it’s like 5$ on eBay not sure about amazon this the one mine has

This is the part number my aftermarket chip has

Thanks, I ordered 2 standard OEM ignition keys with transmitters in the key head(without the FOB). My system says there are 3 Admin keys, I wonder if one isn't the Astrostart fob? I was able too use that plus the key I have to get into program mode to program the 2 keys with FOBs on them to synch, but only the FOBs.

Is it fobs or keys with built in fobs?

Keys with built in fobs. I did end up finding OEM Ford keys 2 for $24 on Amazon without fobs(jewel style). Had one cut and I programmed it at home using FORscan. Works perfect. The 2 key rule only applies to doing it manually. As long you have 2 keys programmed in Pat's, you can program a new key using one original(to gain access to PATS).

Right, now if you want to program the fob from the other key just turn the key to the run position 8 times the doors will lock and unlock to indicate that you are in programming mode then just click the buttons on the fobs so the system can learn them.

Hi All,
I have just purchased a 2016 Ford Transit Connect XLT LWB.
The VIN tells me it was made in Spain.
There are two admin keys programmed into the Van, but only one came with the Van.
I purchased a new key and had it cut for $40,
I did the "How to check blank PATS key" and did receive the following DTC:
DTCs in BdyCM: B10D7:51-2F
There is only one active key and one blank key.
Shall I try it or what is the significance of the 2F in the B10D7:51-2F?
Should I trust it and go ahead an erase the two keys and reprogram or pay the local locksmith to do it?
Thanks.
Bill
