Puddle/Cargo lights not working

Post by McCombs11 » Wed May 20, 2020 12:48 am

Ok guys I am new to FORScan and need some help.
I recently tried to install LED puddle lights on my 2011 F150. After the install I noticed my puddle and cargo lights are not working. From what I have been able to find, the system thinks there is an issue as LED don’t draw as much power as incandescents and shuts the circuit off to these lights. I have read this is controlled on the smart junction box(SJB)? And this can be turned on at a dealer by them hooking a computer to it. I can’t seem to find if I can use FORScan to turn this circuit back on. Does anyone know if this can be done with the FORScan?

After searching through the BCM I found the code B12C2:11-0A. There was 2 other codes related to the issue but they both reset. I can’t seem to get this particular one to reset. I got through the steps and it says everything worked but when it reruns the test, the code shows back up. Any thoughts on this problem? The code is for ground fault but from what I read this is the code it throws when u try to use LED bulbs without a resistor.

Thanks
