Bcm replacement issues transit mk7

Post by Jamieashton » Thu Mar 26, 2020 12:10 pm

Hello. I am wanting to change my bcm to a high level control unit so that I can activate cruise control. I have done all necessary steps and have forscan. I am struggling with the procedure to program the new bcm and the keys. Have searched everywhere online also. Hoping someone can help.. thank you

You will need to find the As-Built data from the identical Transit MK7 that has your new BCM and save that data. Save the original as well (that point is very important).
With the As-Built from the other model, edit and save the new data and test it to see if it is available on the network.
With a license and if the BCM is active, add the original keys.
Cruise control I believe is on the steering pad, you may need As-Built data on that identical model, save the original data the write the new data.
This is a best guess because you posted nothing as to what controllers are original and active in your model. The data on the second model is equally important.

Another solution is to contact the dealer to change the options using "Engineering Mode" with IDS.
