2019 Super Duty DRL - Halogen

Post by agamble91 » Thu Jul 18, 2019 9:04 pm

Trying to get parking lights only as DRL when using the automatic headlights. I basically want the truck to look like it does when the headlight switch is set to parking lights, but for the headlights to come on automatically when it gets dark, and to not have to remember to turn the switch off every time I shut the truck off. I have been successful enabling parking lights, but cannot turn off the lower dim headlights. I have tried totally disabling all DRL and the lower headlights always remain on. 2019 F350 XL with factory halogens. This is the code I am currently using. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i disabled my drls using forscan but the lower bulb remained. I went into my cluster and disabled drl and it shut off the lower ones as well. I have aftermarket led and the lower ones seem to flicker . im assuming because they receive a lower voltage than the top when in auto mode. Dont seem to do so in normal light mode or bright. Not that ive seen anyways or remember seeing. There is a write up on getting the setting to appear in your cluster if your truck doesnt already have it.

Those with Canadian Trucks - I was able to disable my DRL by changing 726-45-01 to the xxxx 7Fxx xxxx, then
726-50-01 to 017F, and then a third thing which was to change 726-16-02 from 0202 0202 024F to 0101 0101 0049. Before I did this third change I could only turn off the top set of halogens and not the bottom half. Now I have them all disabled. Thanks to Livinitup in the f-150 forum.
