Blacklisted mail domains

Post by FORScan »

In the past time we experience problems with certain mail providers that refuse receiving any mail correspondence from FORScan mail server. These providers ignore or sabotage our attempts to resolve the problem and remove the blockage. Sometimes they explain their extremely unfriendly behaviour with some abstract "user complaints". It is strange because FORScan doesn't do any mass sends and the only mail correspondence we send are email notifications from our forum and replies from our support team.

After multiple attempts to resolve this kind of problem in a gentle way and understanding its absolute hopelessness, we have decided to create a black list of mail domains that refuse our letters or discriminate the work we do. Blacklisting means that:

1. Email addresses that belong to blocked domains will not be allowed for new account registration on our forum. Previously created accounts will work, but email notifications from the forum will not be delivered.

2. Requests to support team sent from blocked domains will not be processed.

Here is the list of blocked domains (updated on daily basis):

adelphia.net
ak.net
alice.it
bell.net

Well that stinks. I contacted TWC and asked them to unblock FORScan because I use it and subscribe to it.

Hey admin(s)... has FORScan.org recently changed web hosting services or made any modifications that might have changed the IP address of your web/email server(s) around the time these issues started?

If so the SPF record(s) in your DNS entries would need to be updated with the new IP address(s) of your CURRENT web/email server(s). Also there are some service provides that will block any incoming email with a domain that doesn't have properly configured SPF records in their DNS entries since this would not allow them to validate the authenticity of that incoming email.

More and more service provides are using SPF to validate sender email domains to block spoofing type email spam. No matter how many letters/requests/pleas you make to these service providers they can't override their SPF security protocols cuz SPAM SUCKS!! LOL

Might be something to check in to... if you haven't already.

Sometimes, it is the host it's self that has been known for allowing spam accounts to use their hosting. My domains had this issue, until I contacted my host, and they changed my server IPs and I am no longer blacklisted.

I just checked several of the blocking sites and none of them have forscan.org blocked. Do you have any email reject messages that show who is blocking you?

So how am i suppose to get a new license since my email is charter.net? I contacted charter and this domain is not blocked it has to be something with your email provider.

Only one email acct? That's weird, you must be really REALLY old!! :)

Of course I'm joking but burner email accts are available for free nearly everywhere. I have several plain ol' Yahoo accts I give folks and companies I suspect may be less than truthful with privacy policy statements. I use them for a while then dump them forever. Never use your real name & always use a VPN. My antivirus software stuff provides one free. They were very helpful getting me started as I'm old too!

Im guessing mine is old too, plus I want to buy an extended licences this go around and for the life of me I cant get a email sent to me just for the trial. So I messed up I think when I changed my email with forscan it disabled the account and I freaked out and tried to make another one. Now it is updated it with the new email it still wants to send the trial to my original email based on my hardware id? And i dont think i can get forscan emails through there anymore. Now What?
