PATS for 2010 FG Falcon
Re: PATS for 2010 FG Falcon
Maybe get a complete flip key of eBay for some $30-50, have the blade cut at a locksmith place and then take to Ford to code it. This way it should not cost you really much.
Re: PATS for 2010 FG Falcon
Thank you, yes I have a blank key and fob so looks like the way to go for the moment. Last look I did (a couple of months ago) was A$100 - A$150 just for the programming, A$55 for the key cutting. Not really much in the scheme of things these days I suppose, just hard to want to pay that amount for the programming (considering what's involved)... But if I want a usable spare key and fob then that's the price, take it or leave it, I guess.
Re: PATS for 2010 FG Falcon
Here in WA Perth area you can cut the blade as low as $29.50.
Not really sure how much Ford will charge for programming , but check from dealer to dealer if you have a few nearby.
Good luck.

Love Perth. Used to live there about 20 years ago.

SO, I had a friend of a mate come and have a look at my car. Seems I have a Frankenstein FG - part Mk1, part Mk2. The 2nd hand dealer sold it to me as a upgraded "to Mk2" but it has Mk1 body (squarish, thin front grill) and ICC is not touch control (and monochrome). USB is under ICC and not in the center storage bin...
Given the above, he's pretty sure the car is more an Mk1 than an Mk2, I need to track down manufacturing date of Ford changing to Mk2... So I'm guessing there's a good chance I can use FORScan to do the PATS programming?
Re: PATS for 2010 FG Falcon
I really hope PATS programming for MK2 Falcons is not far off. All I want to do is change my cluster but it's impossible at the moment without going to Ford.

im definitely watching this. my ids is being a bitch and wont let me log in properly.
if forscan gave us all the data and not just the incode outcode that would be pretty handy - can put that info in the ford system and get the correct key
cheers

Re: PATS for 2010 FG Falcon
Thanks Pat for confirming FORScan is working for FG MK I ....FG MK I was added several versions ago but I haven’t tested it yet.
There appears to be a crossover period with MK I & MKII build variations late 2010 to early 2011. Some 2011 still have components that allow for programming & some late 2010 don’t.
Hopefully FORScan can release a version that will work with the FG MKII.
Im sure they’re working hard on support for this & many other functions.

I helped Forscan guys with MK2 control modules, so it should happen one day.
