This vehicle requires special equipment to be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote.

Dear F-wolf, Could you advise which adapter I could you to programm key for my mazda? Also would be good if this adapter/scanner/programmer could be used as a scanner, like VCM2 for mazda, but a little bit cheaper
Best regards,

Note: Some vehicles, typically 2010+ models and those that use “smart” proximity keys will require professional programming by an Automotive Locksmith.

Re, program keys for a Ford ranger px2 2018
Reprogramming an un-coded new key for a current-generation PX (2007-current) Ford Ranger can be done at home if your model is an early 2007-2011 Mark 1 model. You simply get your two original keys, sit in the car with the door closed, and then turn each key to position 2 on the ignition barrel (with the red lights showing on the dash), then remove each within 10 seconds per-key. You then insert the new key, turn it to ignition position 2 and remove it within 10 seconds. You can then re-insert the key and start the car.
However, if you have a later model Ford Ranger you need to have a Ford dealer program the key to your specific car and this cannot be done at home as it involves communicating with the car’s ECU. Different dealers can charge different amounts to supply and code a key, anywhere from $350 to $1500

Re: How to program PATS using FORScan v2.3.*
Thanks f-wolf. I have done similar programing with land cruiser and camrys. I have also used forscan to program keys for bf and ba falcons. I was wondering if anyone had done it with px2 rangers. I'm guessing eventually it will be possible. I'll ask the dealer how much they charge. Thanks, Damien

I just saw on the ranger mods forum that you can do it if you have 2keys already. Looks like I can, it'll save some cash, good stuff. I'll post the link but it won't work unless you get registered https://www.saeb.net/viewtopic.php?t=568
