Clear airbag sensor light

Post by andyduds23 » Thu May 12, 2016 5:12 am

Can anybody help with how to clear an airbag light sensor on dashboard? I have a Ford Focus 2007 1.8 TDCI. I have plugged the adapter in and connected it to the car, I just don't know what to do from there or if it's possible. Thanks

First of all, you need to read diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) from RCM (Airbag) module. The RCM module of FF2 is available on MS-CAN bus, so you need MS-CAN support for your adapter.

Further diagnostic and service actions have to be performed based on diagnostic trouble codes in RCM module. When the problem is found and fixed, DTC codes can be removed using FORScan.

If vehicle experienced a crash incident, and was restored (including replacing restraints and everything that has to be replaced), the crash DTC have to be cleared using special service function "Crash flag reset". This function is not available in official FORScan release yet, if you want to beta-test it on your vehicle, please PM us.

I need to clear an airbag light on my daughter's 2011 mustang.

Were you able to clear the air bag code on the mustang? I have an 2012 F150 I would like to clear an airbag code on. Would be willing to do some beta testing.

Not yet!

They have added more vehicles to their list of vehicles that the "crash data" can be cleared by FORScan in the latest beta version.
Hopefully it will be added soon.

Hi All,
I see that the list of vehicles that can have the crash flag reset is increasing rapidly but can't find a 2012 F150 Ecoboost. If you need someone to do some beta testing let me know.

Thanks.

I see this thread is a little dated I apologize I'm new to this. I have a 2012 f250 thats been wrecked and restored. Any update on the status of this being something that can be done? I have had no luck finding a spreadsheet for the 2012 f250.
