They are very active, so big respect. But this has nothing to do with our problem being solved or resolved. I will wait for next version or two and then make a decision.

This worked fine until I tried to run PATS to reprogram another key - I received an error stating the adapter must not have a switch as it needs to be auto HS MS can enabled

smeglfc5 - I got this one myself and works well. Only issue i had with it was the cd they sent was blank. I got this one as i had to replace a wifi one that kept dropping out on me, lucky enough the cd that i got with the wifi one worked had the same drivers.
Hope that is of some help

I am looking at supplying but I need to see some interest first, this would be the best adapter for a relatively good price as I will be selling for £45/50 plus p&p. Not a clone or from China, this adapter is on the recommended and tested list with support for everything FORScan can do including automatic switching of CAN and MS CAN with no modifications. Get in contact with me if interested, don't waste your time or money on cheap adapters on eBay or Amazon.

Try this one, I use it on a Mazda 6 2.2d, 2014 and its suitable for all the Skyactive Mazda range and perhaps none Skyactive, it is mainly read only, though perhaps its Forscan via a Tablet is read only, but it does show codes.

If they had one that you could hardwire via USB to Tablet then perhaps more could be done with both the hardware and software.

I understand that Forscan are afraid that using wireless, that half way though a procedure and theres a blimp, then it could wreck the ecu which is fare enough.
Initially you have to be patient when hooking up and waiting for it to recognise and pick up details of the car, such as vin and mileage and all the canbus box details, then after that its reasonably quick, but not instant, perhaps due to self checking.

I am new to ForScan. What is the appeal/advantage of the less expensive adapters? I just went to the OBD Link MX because I didnt want the hassle of having a spotty connection when making modifications.

ELM 327 = so when DO you need the HS/MS CAN switch? Can you program without the switch?
