Reverse Mirror Tilt

Post by chancehenry13 » Sat Sep 02, 2017 3:30 pm

I have a 2015 F150 xlt and I am currently trying to enable mirror tilt. However, when i use the code provided i get an error saying i used an incompatible combination. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does your truck have memory mirrors? If not, you won't be able to do the Reverse Tilt mod. Below are the values that should enable it (ignore whatever you have where the "x's" are and just write the non-x value and when FORScan gives you a message about incorrect checksum just continue with the write).

DDM 740-03-01 Fxxx xx
DDM 740-13-01 Fxxx

PDM 741-03-01 Fxxx xx
PDM 741-13-01 Fxxx

Thanks for the reply! However, I now have a 2013 f150 platinum and haven't been able to find any codes for mirror tilt or auto fold. Do you know if the 15-18 codes work for a 2013 as well or where I can find info on this. Thanks again!

I entered the codes and it works...somewhat. I can't get it to tilt both mirrors at the same time. Any ideas?

I have programmed my drivers seat #2 position to direct the mirrors down (a work around to accomplish this function 2013 FX4). The drivers mirror starts moving before the passenger side moves. I believe this is normal operation.

I have a 2016 XLT Lariat with memory Mirrors/Seat. I was able to get the function to work only when I push the programmed mirror button when in reverse. I thought it would do it automatically tilt when I go into reverse. Not a big deal just misunderstood the concept I guess.

I used this:
DDM 740-03-01 Fxxx xx
DDM 740-13-01 Fxxx
PDM 741-03-01 Fxxx xx
PDM 741-13-01 Fxxx

Reverse Tilt Mirror Calibration:

1) Switch the ignition on
2) Press the memory button
3) Select the mirror you want to adjust
4) Put your vehicle into reverse (R) and adjust the mirror where desired
5) Hold the memory button for 5 seconds to save the setting
6) Press the mirror button and return to park (P)
7) Hold the memory button again

When in reverse push mirror button to tilt, Push to return it to normal position.

Hello. I have a 2019 Ford focus and i managed to enable the option in the on board menu display, but activated or not, nothing happens.
Any ideas? What exactly is this memory button?

Only one will work at a time as I understand it. When setup to make the mirror tilt you press the button that activates the mirror like you are adjusting it then put it in reverse. Since you cannot activate both sides at the same time to adjust so you can't auto-tilt both sides at the same time. Make sense?
This feature is to allow you to see your back tire when backing into a space with a curb on that side of the vehicle.
I have 3 memory seat/mirror positions in my Fusion. I just use #3 and keep my seat where it is on #1 and adjust and save my mirrors to see my rear tires on #3. That's the only way to get both mirrors to tilt down that I'm aware of.
