Beta testing forum rules

Post by FORScan » Fri Apr 17, 2015 6:07 am

Welcome to the new forum!

The forum is created specially for testing and debugging new functions and problems of FORScan with assistance of our users. The problem is that we cannot test FORScan on all available models locally, as it reqiures a large garage, that is not possible for us. So we have to involve our users for beta-testing.

Main principle - make the testing safe. If a function is potentially dangerous and may requires extra requirements (such as firm scanner or visit to dealer), it will be mentioned in the test request.

How it works:

1. If FORScan Team needs to check some function, we create new topic on this forum (request). The topic describes the task and requirements (model of vehicle, configuration etc).

2. Everyone who want to participate should read the task description and requirements. If the requirements are ok and still wish to participate - the member can send you request using email or PM. The request must contain vehicle model and other data that shows that indicates requirements are satisfied.

3. We send to the tester a test version and instruction.

4. The tester performs the testing and send us results.

5. User motivation:
5.1. Paricipate in development process and accelerate this function implementation.
5.2. All participants get beta-tester status that gives a lifelong right to use all FORScan software products for free.

6. Number of testers involved in every testing will be limited by a real demand. So it doesn't make sence, for example, to involve 100 members if 2 are enough.
