Hello.
I am new to this forum and I am pleasantly surprised that you are really helping. I soon bought Ford Tranzit 2.0 tdi 2000. I had to change the pump and now I can not adapt the module. I downloaded a trial license but I get a message that incode is not accepted. Please for your help.
Thank you.
Have done it a couple of times on same car. No problems at all. Maybe you need extended licence, trial version is limited in functions.

I only have 1 key for my 2012 F150 XLT and am purchasing a remote start OEM kit that comes with two Keyfobs I will be installing and turning on with Forscan- those two Keyfobs have 4 buttons and the one I have only 3, so I will be programming the two with the kit as masters and tossing this one I have.

Where is everyone getting their keys cut? I've seen locksmiths, Walmart, etc - I would think it would cost next to nothing if they aren't programming it. I saw Walmart has a machine you stick your keys into - don't know if that would work on a KeyFOB that I would take to the store?

Also, are you getting the two Keyfobs cut (like in my case) before, or after programming it to the truck?

Thanks!

Programming keyless entry buttons on your key and programming the PATS transponder chip embedded in your key are two different proceedures.

For keys my advice is to get a "dumb" (containing no transponder) key made first. Use it to rotate the lock cylinder, and while holding your new, uncut transponder key near the lock cylinder, check it with Forscan to see if it's readable.

Do this before you get the keys cut in such case that they are duds and you need to take them back to the seller.

If they check out good then take them and get them cut. I have had good luck with my local Home Depot cutting them for free, YMMV.

Then go through the whole PATS programming procedure.

I believe you can program the fobs themselves using the method shown in your owners manual

Hi,
I got a Focus MK1 2003. Last week my battery died so i replaced it. Since then both of my keys won't start the car and OBD shows B1601 for both keys.
Is it possible to reprogram both keys without any of them working atm? One of the keys got a remote, the other one is simple with a blue transponder.

Hello FORScan Team,

How can I use FORScan to create key for my Ford Everest 2.5L TDCi? I can not find any menu in service with PATS programming.

Thanks a lots.

Successfully added 2 new keys to my 2003 Ford BA today after only receiving 1 with secondhand car. Forscan walked me through it and it worked perfectly. Hardest bit was waiting 12 mins for Ford security process. Thanks Forscan team.

FYI after reading posts I had some concerns over ebay items. I will say that I think you should get decent keys (without chip) from a (decent) locksmith. Mine were Silca.

The wedge chip for my car 4D60 has 145-00 on it (the second line of numbers is just a batch number I believe). I had some concerns because a useless Mr Minute man (who couldn't even cut a key right) said mine was a 4D62.

I got a Vgate iCar2 bluetooth OBD module and it seems to read/write all OBD functions perfectly.
