Forscan Lite on Android / fuel rail pressure desired

Post by Julien06600 » Sun Dec 16, 2018 8:56 am

Hello everyone,

I hope I am in the right post.

I am new owner of the App "Forscan Lite" on my Android.
I bought a OBD Link MX BT for diagnostics.

All this is connected to my Ford focus 2 1.6l tdci 2009 and I am trying to find an issue on the fuel circuit. For that I would like to compare the actual fuel rail pressure with the fuel rail pressure desired.
Unfortunately I cannot find the PID that mention " fuel rail pressure desired " . I think that it would be very usefull to get this info for my diagnostic in order to compare with my actual fuel rail pressure.

Do you have any ideas how to get it?

Thank you for help
Julien

I have the later Euro V version of the MK 2 Focus and there is no PID for Fuel Rail Pressure Desired.

If there is a problem then the car should throw up a fault code and if it does so then it would be best to change your Fuel Filter before checking anything else. Ford's 3 year change interval is too long in my opinion.

For comparison my Idle pressure is around 300 Bar and under extreme load it can briefly go above 1500 Bar.

Thank you Donny for your fast answer.

In fact I already changed the fuel filter few days ago but no improvements...I still have the 2 errors code coming up :
-P1180: fuel delivery system low
-P0087: fuel rail pressure sensor

So fare , I have replaced the fuel filter, done injectors return flow test and put in-line clear flexible tube in between the fuel tank and fuel filter in order to see if there was presence of air but negative.

I am now focus on replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor.

I will let you know
