Checked the hoses which connect DPF to pressure sensor. Then seem to be ok.
I wonder if I should replace the pressure sensor, but I'm not convinced since the DP_DPF pid shows 1kPa on idle and up tp 10-12 under load.

Tomorrow I plan to visit Ford offical service and see if they're able to reset the DPF_SOOT_LD value with their software.

I also thought about doing the PCM module reset in FORscan, but I'm not sure what it procedure does actually and if it would do more good or harm.

I've left the car at offical Ford dealer/service yesterday. All they did was resetting the DPF parameters and also updating PCM and BCM software.

They claim that the DPF_LOAD pid shows how cluttered the dpf actually is, and DPF_SOOT_LD pid only shows the maximum clutter level after which the car won't clear the dpf itself. But I'm not convinced it's true.

So Forscan still shows 300% in the DPF_SOOT_LD pid and the car still shows the same symptoms - a few minutes after starting the engine the dpf cleaning process starts (fuel usage goes up, RPMs become irregular on idle and vaporizer starts working - CATEMP2 goes up to over 550 degrees).

An additional symptom (that started a few days ago) is that 5-10 minutes after starting the engine, fuel computer starts to display two dashes ( -- ) instead of actual numbers in all modes (current and average fuel usage, remaining distance, average speed, etc).

The only think that I haven't done so far (that comes up to my mind) is replacing the DPF pressure sensor, but as I mentioned before - I don't think that it would help.

Hi
Just found this post. I have the exact same problem on my Mondeo 2011 2.0 TDCi mk4.
My front grill was stuck so I fixed that, then I got the filter send to clean in a professional firm. Then my dpf fuel vaporizer was changed and I cleared all errors with Forscan, but still I cannot do a static regen. The filter shows 300% sooded. I would be very pleased if you still would share every findings here as this is a frustrating problem.

Hey Kristian,

No luck so far in my case.
Yesterday an error code showed up on Converse, I don't remember the number, but it was about poor quality of engine oil. Which means that the constant DPF regenerations caused diesel fuel to get mixed with engine oil. I'll have to change the oil, but I'd prefer to solve the original problem first.
I think I'll try to replace the pressure sensor. Don't have much hope that it will help, but I have no other ideas at this moment.

Is your car also in constant DPF regeneration mode?

/Darek.

My car is caught in
Code: P246B - Vehicle Conditions Incorrect for Particulate Filter Regeneration
Status:
- DTC Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
- Test not complete
Module: Powertrain Control Module
Freeze Frame :
-GLOBTIM: 237919115 sec - Global real time
-TOTDIST: 248510.0 km - Total Distance
-MAINECUV: 11.75 Volt - Main ECU voltage supply
-ESTSERUN: No - Engine status - engine running
-ESTSECRK: No - Engine status - engine in crank
-INCARTMP: 12 °C - In car temperature
-OUTTMP: 2 °C - External Temperature From Sensor
===END PCM DTC P246B:00-67===

I cannot get it to do a regeneration at all. Not by driving and not via Forscan. Forscan fails with:
(OK) [17:08:12.373] Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Static Regeneration has been started
(OK) [17:10:33.948] Please wait...30 seconds
(OK) [17:11:02.341] Regeneration started. Please wait...25 min
(ERR) [17:11:05.380] Unspecified abort condition
(ERR) [17:11:11.723] Service procedure has been interrupted

I see.

So it's a bit different than in my case. Are you able to monitor the DPF temperature when car tries to do the regeneration while driving?
It can be read in FORscan using pids: CATEMP1 and CATEMP2.

I'll try, but I don't think its ever trying to regen anymore.

You can first try to reset the DTC errors and then hit the road (with FORscan monitoring the CATEMP1, CATEMP2, DPF_LOAD and DPF_SOOT_LD pids). I assume that it would try to perform the regeneration at least once in that case.

I got my car back from the garage yesterday:
They could not start a regen from tester, but he got it to regen on the road after a lot of tries. Then he replaced a map sensor, the thermostat because he didn't think that the engine got warm enough, and checked the ERG. The ERG worked thus a bit slow, but it was okay, he said.

Today I drove to work (75km) on freeway and highway. Just in automatic gear. The car was fast and felt as usual, but in idle is was a bit rough. I measured this on my way but I don't think that it gets warm enough to regen and why is DPF_SOOT_LD% still 300% ? There are no errors in forscan DTC.
CAT11, 514 C (warmest measure)
Cat12, 557 C (warmest measure)
DPF_LOAD, 17%
DPF_SOOT_LD, 300%
DP_DPF, kPa From 1 to 10.0 to 1 again when trip is over.

Hi

I have same situation. You car is in constant regen mode. If you want to save fuel. Just take the fuse out. And after every 150 to 200 miles put fuse back in for 10 to 20 min for regen.

This will save you fuel atleast.

Attach file is for fuse location.
