Transit custom 2.2 2015 injector pilot learn

Post by Glenandem » Tue Oct 23, 2018 12:42 pm

Can someone tell me if I’m doing an injector pilot learn correct on forscan, I basically just go into the service settings with ign on but engine not running and click injector pilot reset, it starts going up in percentage at bottom then tells me to turn ign off and on and then says complete 100%.
Is that correct as I’ve read things saying it does sequences and takes a good few mins etc yet mine takes 10-15 secs and done.
No fault codes but engine still very rattly low down!

Also should I try doing an adaption with or without engine running?
Done it without at moment but wondered if it should be running?

I'm not familiar with forscan but am with Ids, I have v96 and need to know too, on service menu I have is only the option of clearing learned values for everything but no actual option to perform a pilot learn, I can see on Ford etis in service functions online there is an option for pilot learn and it says it needs the engine running and about 45 minutes. I'm not sure if it needs a newer version of ids or a newer passthru device than mine but I want to do a pilot learn as mine is chattery low down.

Does anyone know if forcan can perform a pilot learn on a euro 5 2.2 transit custom?
Be great if it can because ids is getting harder to use these days.

I'm not promoting ids just I use it i have forscan and would like to learn how to use it better
