bench setup with no ECU

Post by wystewart » Tue Feb 28, 2017 2:13 am

Is it possible to use Forscan with only an APIM/ACM on the bench outside the car without any other modules (ie. no ECU/PCM). when I try to connect, it says unable to connect to the vehicle.

Newest version will not work.
Old v1 version might work. You can download version 1.3.9 at the bottom of the download page.
Version 1 scans the busses for every single module (takes a lot longer).
Version 2 will not work if it is unable to identify the vehicle so i guess it won´t work without PCM connected.

Version 1.3.9 is quite old and has less functionality so it might be no help.

thanks. but v1.3.9 doesn't seem to find anything. In any case I would need a more recent version that can edit the as-built.
