DPF regeneration fault

Post by silvercircle » Mon Aug 25, 2014 5:32 pm

Hello,
i tried to start manually Regeneration on my Ford Focus 2.0 TDCI Year 2009 with powershift gearbox.
the Regeneration started normaly but when the rpm goes to 3000 Umin, stoped the Regeneration with
an error and the Information "kontakt the programmer".

then i tried the same Prozedur bei my friends car, it is a Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCI mk1 year 2008, here started
the Prozedur without an error, but the rpm doesnt go to 3000 rpm. the car works 20 minutes with Standing gas.

is any Body here and can help me.

thanks
Thomas

Can you please send us FORScan logs as instructed here by email or PM?

Behaviour is different because procedures are different (almost every platform has its own version). It is weird RPM weren't increased. What was the result of the procedure regeneration on Kuga?

Hello,
thank you for your answer. i didn´t find your email, pm doesn´t work. so i can not send the Protokoll.
i post it here in the Forum.

today i tried to activate the Regeneration process at once. in the Laptop goes the time from 0 to 20 minutes, and there is no Regeneration of the dpf.
when i start the procedure manually, i give gas with the gaspedal up to 3000 rpm, and wait until the regenaration is ready, after 20 min. the dpf is cleaned.
the pressure in dpf ist in stand gas is 0 and goes up to 240 when i drive.

i hope it is o.k so.

thanks
thomas

PM doesn't work for newly registered users (require 3 posts before sift to Normal User group). We have removed this limit for new users, however old users may still experience the issue. In this case, please send information by email using instruction on the site as mentioend by carlus.

Status update on this issue:
According to the logs sent by silvercircle (thanks for it, btw), found few bugs in DPF static regen procedure for Focus Mk2 since 2008 with Powershift transmission (some modifications), and also noticed a small problem that might cause unsuccessful start of the regeneration on Kuga 2008 Euro 4. Both issues are resolved, the fixes will be available in next FORScan release (2.1.20 or 2.2.0, what will be released earlier). If anyone need these fixes and cannot wait for next release, please email or PM us and we will provide a test build.

Hi

The static regen for my 2010 Uk Kuga isn't working. It just sits at idle... :-(

Please help.

Thanks will do.

Do I need to fault codes cleared before the regen? The problem is, when I clear them, they come back within minutes and Im wondering if this is causing problems with the regen starting?
