battery learned value reset 2014 Mazda 3 Skyactiv D

Post by jakbla »

Recently my battery died for good so I replaced it.
Now I heard that new battery needs to be "programmed", which I think is simply resetting learned values. I was looking everywhere, but couldn't find that procedure. Is it me or that procedure is not available for that model? If it is where I can find it?
Thank you in advance.

It would be interesting where you may have heard that comment.

1. Switch to ON
2. Shift level to N position
3. Depress brake pedal and hold until the end
4. Depress acc pedal for >5 sec
5. Check if battery warning lamp started to blink
6. Depress and release acc pedal 3 times
7. Check for no warning lights.

BATT_DAY will became 0 days.

That worked perfectly, battery is reset now. Thanks.

Ecmbuster I will try to attach screenshots later, maybe you will be able to locate this function. For future reference.
