Tpms malfunction but nothing showing in FORScan

Post by richimpulse »

Hey everyone, first post here.

I have a 2010 ford mondeo titanium x sport showing a tyre pressure monitoring system malfunction on the dashboard, but when I use FORScan there is nothing related to tpms in there, unless I'm blind

Can anyone shed some light on where it may be, or do I need the licence version to see it?

Thanks.

2010 Ford Mondeo Titanium X Sport "tyre pressure monitoring system"
Is this your model?

Did you do the basics such as test the tyre pressures?
You will need to test the TPMS sensors to see if they transmit data.
This is the version I use.

Thanks for your reply!

My model falls into the 07-10 range. The onboard shows dashes on the 2 rear wheels so I'm guessing that's the malfunction error! And theres no setting to reset the tpms in this version unfortunately.

All tyre pressures are at the correct range using my pressure gauge.

I know that the system was working in the winter as I had a slow puncture on the drivers front and I received warning messages for this which went away once the tyre was back within range.

I will take a look at one of these tools and see if it comes up with anything!

Is it possible to disable tpms using FORScan? I understand it's not a legal requirement on a 2010 vehicle?

Thanks

Sounds like the Rear Sensors batteries are dying or they have gone to sleep and need to be woken up with the tool. If they are original or Ten years old they likely need replacing or will need replacing soon.

I don't know if your 2010 Mondeo is the same as a 2010 N/A Fusion but in the Fusion Body Control Module (GEM contains the BCM functions In My Fusion) under AsBuilt configuration Address 726-08-01-X0XX XX would disable the TPMS and 726-08-01 X1XX XX enables TPMS

Screen shot the original configuration and save a backup first!!!!
