1.6 Tdci boost control solenoid

Hello there, can you advise if there is a way to test the boost control solenoid?
Or do I have to do this manually with a vaccum gauge?
Is there any way to find what the pressure should be at idle for example?
It seems there is more turbo lag and more turbo noise now for a few seconds and I'm lost
Any help appreciated

You can check pressure using MAP PID.

At idle : ~100 kpa (1 bar) - atm pressure
Full load: ~230 kpa (2.3 bar) - 1 bar atm + 1.3 bar turbocharger

(not sure about exact value of max pressure for your specific engine).

Hello, what I mean is that the turbo is hesitating. And I was wondering if their is an option to test the control solenoid which feeds vaccum pressure to the actuator? Lexia an pp wont work but they have test for the 1.6 hdi

We don't know a way to check the turbocharger bypass valve on Fiesta Mk7 TDCi. The PID is not available, only variable geometry duty cycle can be read.

Hi, i was trying to do exactly this in Mazda 3 1.6 (same motor). I supposed that KOER should test the solenoid, and could confirm it simply looking the neumatic actuator near the turbo.

But KOER doesn´t work in my Mazda. Don´t know why.
