Has this calibration procedure been implemented to current versions of FORScan?

I’ve recently done 4” Sync1 to 8” Sync3 conversion in my 2013 Focus ST (Australia Delivered).

Camera works fine, the colour blocks work fine, the reverse beepers work fine, I have the diagram of the car present on the screen, with the Zoom + icon (however doesn’t zoom or do anything). However the Dynamic lines or the coloured Red, Yellow, and green horizontal lines no longer display...

I had all of these feature working for the past fortnight tho it seems I’ve adjusted something while trying to check CCC / BCM around the Speedo Cluster screen splash ST logo... I don’t recall changing anything that would have affected it in either FORScan or FoCCCus.

I’m out of ideas or what to try as I’ve been searching high and low the past few days.

Hello, good afternoon, sir. I have a mondeo hybrid 2018 Sinc 3
I have an original rear camera, installed you see the camera only with the yellow and red green lines,
but you don’t see the dynamic lines as they are activated in PSCM?

in BCM I have changed the following lines:
BCM: 726-34-01 xx21-xxxx-xxxx
726-39-02 xxxx-x1xx-xxxx
without result.
that I have to change in PSCM to activate them.

I'm having the same issues as others with calibrating the rear camera. My truck came from the factory with a rear camera but the guide lines won't show. When I try to set the parameters per the spreadsheet and do the calibration in forscan it fails at 8% and aborts like everyone else.

I've double checked that the BCM and FDIM are setup properly and they are good. I do have a DTC related to the camera though. Even when I clear the DTC it comes back. Yesterday after resetting everything the guides came back for just a few seconds and then disappeared.

Anyone know what's going on? My camera is a ford factory camera, so I"m not sure why I'm having this issue?!

Edit: So after playing around somemore, when I edit 726-39-02 back to default xxxx xxxx xxxx and calibrate, it completes, but of course no grid lines on camera. Additionally when I calibrate the IMPB the grid lines will come back for up to 10 seconds and then they disappear. Then when I run a check for DTC's I get a IMPB B115E code with an additional fault that says: "Internal electronic failure".

My truck package came from the factory with rear camera and dynamic guides. I checked the camera and it seems to be a proper Ford OEM camera, however it does have a slightly different model number of: FL3T-19G490-AH, whereas all over forscan and even when you search the official ford parts site it says I should have model FL3Z-19G490-D.

Does this issue happen because someone replaced the camera with a similar but not quite right version?

I'm hesitant to buy a new camera since I can get the dynamic guides working fairly briefly. I'm worried that a new camera for $300 won't fix my problem if it's an electronic or circuit issue like a broken wire somewhere. Basically I don't want to waste money. Can anyone please help shed some light on this?

I’ve just sourced a replacement camera and I still have the same issue. My guess is that it’s certainly programming...

I have tried and tried and tried, however still no luck!! I can get the grid guides, however the dynamic guides just don’t show! I have seen them pop up for a few seconds and disappear again as you’ve also experienced.

I’ve tried APIM, BCM in both FORScan and FoCCCus, clear of all DTC’s, run module resets. I’m out of things to try...

Does anyone have info around the Asbuilt data for the IMPB? As for the BCM Asbuilt, it doesn’t seem to write the code when entering via this method? Hmmm...

Hi,

New user to Forscan here.

Same problem as users above. I've got a 2016 Ranger (Sync 2). Has a factory fitted reversing camera, I have no dynamic reversing lines and the zoom button is inop (it makes a tone when I press the screen, but doesn't zoom). It's been like this since I've owned it, so I've no idea when or why the functionality stopped working.

Have tried a couple of the things I've found on this thread, module resets using the Forescan Service Functions - but no change.

Hoping to find a solution.

The video camera system visually aids the driver while reversing or reverse parking the vehicle. The video camera system features are as follows:

Fixed guidelines — this feature assists the driver with backing into a parking space or aligning the vehicle with an object.
Visual park aid alert — this feature assists the driver to visually see the object causing the parking aid system to sound.
Manual zoom — this feature assists the driver with connecting or towing a trailer allowing the driver to manually zoom closer to an object behind the vehicle.
Video camera delay — this feature allows the driver to see the image behind the vehicle after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse. The image will not be displayed if the vehicle is shifted into park.
The features are controlled though the FDIM . Refer to the Owner's Literature for information on how to operate the video camera system features.

The video camera system has 4 video features that are controlled in the FDIM . The features are:

Fixed guidelines
Visual park aid alert
Manual zoom
Video camera delay
For each one of these system features except the camera delay feature, the APIM sends a network message requesting the system feature to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) via the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) . The IPC sends the message to the BCM over the HS-CAN . The BCM sends the message to the video camera over the LIN . The LIN is a dedicated single wire communication line that sends and receives network messages from the BCM to the video camera. The video camera delay feature is controlled with in the APIM .

The messages sent from the BCM to the video camera are:

transmission selector (PRNDL) status
liftgate ajar status
camera configuration data
display manual zoom request
parking aid audible warning status
parking aid sensor distance to object data
The messages sent from the video camera to the BCM are:

camera status
display zoom status
camera part number data
visual park aid alert status
fixed guideline status
All of the video camera features are enabled and disabled within the FDIM menu screen.

The video camera delay feature keeps the image displayed on the FDIM until the vehicle reaches 8 km/h (5 mph) when the vehicle is shifted out of reverse or if any button on the FDIM is pressed.

The video camera fixed guidelines feature displays guidelines on top of the video image to assist the driver with alignment of the vehicle. A dashed line on the displayed image represents the center of the vehicle and 3 color-coded lines (red, yellow, green) identify different zones between the rear of the vehicle and objects.

NOTE: The color-coded lines cannot indicate accurate or consistent distances between objects located behind the vehicle and at the rear of the vehicle. This normal condition is due to variances in vehicle ride height, including, but not limited to, vehicle loading.

The visual park aid alert feature utilizes the 4 parking aid sensor inputs from the Parking Aid Module (PAM) and the video camera image. When the transaxle selector is in the reverse position and an object is detected in the path of the parking aid sensor, a network message of the distance from the parking aid sensor to the object is sent from the PAM to the BCM over the HS-CAN . The BCM networks the parking aid sensor message to the video camera over the LIN . The visual alerts are red, yellow or green and appear as highlights on top of the displayed image to indicate in which zone the object is detected. The highlighted visual alerts are still operational if the parking aid system is disabled within the IPC and the visual alert feature is enabled.

The manual zoom feature is controlled by the video camera. The manual zoom feature has 3 zoom levels that are only active when the vehicle is in reverse. If the manual zoom feature is enabled and the vehicle is shifted out of reverse the manual zoom feature is disabled. The manual zoom feature must be re-enabled the next time the vehicle is shifted into reverse. When the FDIM requests the video image to be zoomed in or out, the APIM sends a zoom request network message to the IPC . The IPC sends the message to the BCM , which sends the zoom request message to the video camera over the LIN . The video image sent by the video camera is then digitally zoomed in or out.

Could I get the procedure? I am having the same issue with guidlines not showing properly after replacement camera installed. Calibration fails at 8%. I get the Camera Module DTC, which I can clear. 2013 Ford Flex
