Disable Fiesta 2010 Automatic windscreenwipers?

Post by schuifelhoofd » Sat Oct 22, 2016 4:30 pm

Odered an OBDII adapter so i can disable my DRL lights, but i can't seem to find anything about the automatic windscreen wipers.

I'd like to disable the sensor, as i don't like a computer to decide how i like my wipers to wipe.
I'd like the lever to operate the wipers as on a car without that automatic wiper-thingy.

Any way to disable the sensor in Forscan? If i simply unplug the sensor, i get a fault every time i restart.
If it's possible, would i get the "normal" non-automatic lever-function?

Did you find a solution for that topic?
I experience the same issues on a 2010 Focus Mk2, the automatic wiper has a very poor detection, does not react on snow and leaves the rain on the windshield too long, even on the most sensitive setting.

I tried to do this on a transit, with ford ids. No option!
