Transmission shift points after larger tires

Post by Robb8 » Fri May 31, 2019 9:02 pm

Hey guys I’m getting 34.3 cooper STT pros on 18 fuel vapours , my question is about transmission shift points as I’m being told they will have to be calibrated afterwards current tires are about 31’ on 20’ ... I’ve read a few posts saying that calibrating your speedo helps with this but others saying it’s independant from the speedo but does not require any calibration any thoughts ?

Interested as well. Got 33 Toyo’s And when I changed to recommended settings, the mph was 3 over. Factory settings were right..?? Makes no sense. Then I started thinking about the shift points and been scratching the noggin.

Transmission adaptive learning will reset if you disconnect the battery. That's should do it.

Is there not a way to reset the adaptive learning tables with FORScan?

Back home and can mess around with it. If you are interested in resetting the adaptive learning tables, you can do so with FORScan. Under service procedures, TCM, clear transmission adaptive tables.
