Ba Falcon parameter reset. Can it be done?

Post by sd6 » Fri Apr 26, 2019 12:57 am

I'm in the process of doing an engine swap on a 2003 ba xr6 falcon. I am installing a turbo engine along with the turbo pcm so I will need to do a parameter reset to link up the new pcm along with specifying things like diff ratio equipped, traction control or not etc.

Can forscan do this function on the ba falcons?

FORScan is a great tool & can do the parameter reset & program modules but can't adjust the diff ratio in the PCM. HPTuners, PCMtec or the like can change the diff ratio & specify ABS/TCS etc.....IDS is another but I don't like going to Ford to do anything if I can get away with it

as long as you do a complete engine and engine loom swop it will work. Turbo have additional wiring. Forscan will do what you need it to d.Its much easier than doing FG Mk1 5 to 6 speed and Mk1 to Mk2 conversion
