You'd better not write personal details (like phone number) in a forum.

Read this thread from the beginning

I said "from the beginning" ... did you try at least with the beginning?
I don't believe so.
I read it. Several times. Then it dawned on me - "trial license" might be the same thing as "extended license".

How could I have possibly missed that? "Generate TRIAL LICENSE using this link" it says. No, I need an extended license. Perhaps someone needs to reconsider the wording of the post? I came here looking for an extended license, not a trial license. Precision counts, unless you are DWIMing. I do not DWIM well.

I don't know why, but I did not have any doubt ... since the 1st reading of the 1st post.
Furthermore, I'm not even mothertongue and my comprehension can be limited.

Anyway, does the word "trial" means that is not extended?
As far as I know those two words are not mutually exclusive.

The license you get is both "extended" (that means that you have extended functionalities), and "trial" (that means that it will expire after a limited period of time).

So what I gather the Activation code is there because they are in the process of making a paid license for anyone wanting the extended license long term instead of having to renew the 2 month trial. so if you were curious like myself, it does nothing at this point so just ignore it.

My Extended License expires 1-8-19. Trying to renew but have been unable to find my Hardware ID. I know I've seen it in the FORScan pages when I looked a couple weeks ago to renew; it was listed along with my expiration date. I've tried connecting with the truck and opening FORScan where directed for Hardware ID but there is nothing there. I'm still able to use FORScan for the next couple days but need to get the EL. I'll keep looking.

Or, is it my laptop Hardware ID that I need? Where can I find that please?

Thank you.

Gary
