Thank you for the response. I used the number on the screen shot that loads from the hypertext "what is this" next to hardware ID on the registration page. But I since went back and pulled the corrected ID number from my actual for scan app on the computer (not the website in this case), and then entered it into the website. So now it says I have two trial periods active. Although the second one (the correct Hardware ID) won't download, but I was unaware you could re install, I will try that, and if all else I will just pay for the real license. thank you!

Hi
My forscan read license file, ask for reboot program but after that, trial is not activate - the same screen with add license ect.
The same story when I put it to license file in Forscan path. Even try add to registry but the same story.
I try to uninstall, clear all registry info and install new v2.3.41. ID was different so activate next license key but the same story.
Year above everything working properly, now not possible to add license. Windows 7 32bit

I think I understand partly. In order to generate a license using the Hardware ID in the"What is it?" Screen shot, you would have had to manually type that number into the "Hardware ID field at the extlic.php site. At least for me, on my Browsers, that number(Beginning FA8) cannot be copied and pasted but must be manually transferred by physically typing it into the ID field!

I just managed to generate a license that way and it generates a license because that Hardware ID is a valid ID belonging to one of the Forscan teams computers. However the license will not install successfully on any of my computers (Restarts and stays Standard License) that I have tried it on and that is exactly what should happen!!

What I am not understanding and find concerning, is you say you managed to get a License generated with that Hardware ID to successfully install on your computer's Forscan install as the process is designed for that to be impossible as each Hardware ID is unique to each computer.

Also explain what you mean when you say that the correct ID generated Key will not download. Is the Download button beside the key not live or is the browser not showing it under the "Download" section or prompting you for where you want to save it and remember that the file name that Downloads from extlic.php will likely have the same name{FORSCanLicense.key(1)} with a number in brackets unless you save it under a different file name(Actually a good habit)!

The license can be transferred to a new laptop and to a new install as long as the license is uninstalled( Unistall license button in the FORSCan about page to deactivate at the online activation server) from the current machine or install and reactivated(with the same license activation code) on the new laptop or new install.

Just do not loose your activation code or order number. Any problems with the license procedure(lost codes, dead laptop or hard drive, being unable to uninstall) would need to be emailed to support at contact@forscan.org!
