IPC Programming Not Working on 2019 Super Duty (Forscan 2.3.16 beta)

Well I was able to program the body control module, and the APIM with no issues, however am kicked out of the IPC and get "Service Procedure has been interrupted". I go back into the module and the original values are still there.

Guessing Forscan needs an update for 2019 trucks?

I am using the OBDLink MX bluetooth reader which is known to work well for these trucks so I don't believe its that, and it also doesn't have a toggle switch to be in the wrong position either...

Try using 2.3.13 I had the same error with 2.3.16 and saw an older post where 2.3.13 had a fix.

2.3.13 works as expected

Re, FDRS

Ford Diagnostic & Repair System (FDRS) - The next generation factory Ford Motor Company vehicle diagnostic Software designed for use with VCM II, VCMM and J2534 compatible Vehicle Communications Interfaces (VCI). FDRS provides complete dealership level vehicle diagnostic coverage for some 2018 and forward vehicles. FDRS provides superior capabilities, is more user-friendly and provides more diagnostic tools than IDS. The cloud-based system ensures the technician is provided the latest software every time FDRS logs into the Ford network.

And:

More Great News for Ford IDS users and people who program Ford Products:

I just compleated new FDRS training (The program that will replace IDS) and there are a few things you need to know about it.

1) The program is 100% CLOUD BASED meaning that, much like WiTech, your software and interface will be locked to a particular PC and IP address. There will be NO STAND ALONE functionality in FDRS.

2) In addition to having a valid licence to use the software and get access, you will also need a password to log into and get past the Ford Firewall. You folks who use PTS know all about this, but for those of you who do not have PTS, I have not heard ANYTHING that stupulates that such access will be made available to the general public. The training was Ford dealership based, so more to come as this plays itself out.

3) FDRS will only download module configuration, programming and diagnostic packages based on the VIN number of the vehicle that your working on. This may be a big problem going forward for those of us who program used controllers.

At first blush, it appears that, not only is Ford going down the same road as Chrysler (why shoudnt they, Snap-On client services runs BOTH programs). The only additional caviet for Ford is that it appears that they are going to move to prevent people from being able to re-pop used controllers with FDRS.

There is a lot of training ahaid on FDRS and keep in mind that the dealership version will likely be different from the consumer end product.

by FORScan
FORScan recognizes modules by their part numbers, modules of new models usually have new part numbers that have to be added to the database periodically, what happens in new FORScan releases. Programming 2019 F-Series IPCs is supported in FORScan 2.3.17 (no public release yet, but everyone can request a test build from us in PM or by email).

However, what f-wolf and twisterrescue explained is actual for some brand new models of 2018 and 2019 model years, specifically:

2018 Expedition (U553)
2018 Navigator (U554)
2018 Ecosport (B515)
2018 Ka/Figo (B562)
2018 Ranger (P375)
2018 Everest (U375)
2019 Transit Connect (V408 MCA)
2019 Focus (C519)
(most likely, the list will grow)

In contrast to Ford IDS, FORScan will support these models (in fact, already does), but configuration and programming for some modules (first of all, for IPC) may not work. We are going, however, make these functions available in the future, although so far it is not clear how much time it will take.

We have sticked the thread as the information may be helpful for many users.

I had a strange thing happen after upgrading to v2.3.16.
When connecting to my 2015 Mondeo MK5 it would not show the BCMii module and the IPC module had a red Cross and showed “error”
This meant I couldn’t make changes to the accessory timeout via the BCMii.

I checked with a genuine DELPHI DS150e and both modules show with no errors?

So reverted back to a saved previous version of ForScan and all modules now working correctly.

Can upload screen grabs if needed.
