BA falcon Aftermarket ICC

Post by stagg91 » Sun Apr 29, 2018 9:35 am

Hi g'day Forscan forum,

New member here. Just thought I'd ask, I've got a 2005 BA falcon xt and I've just upgraded to the premium dual zone ICC and I've gotta.program the car to remove the security code error.

Is there any trick to removing the security code? I've got my Bluetooth elm327 OBD2 plug to link to the ECU no dramas, and now need to program the ICC.

Cheers! Matt

Just make sure you have two genuine keys before you start. Don't do what I did and try with one genuine key and a cloned key. I had a disabled ca for a week while I waited for a genuine key to arrive.
Otherwise it is quiet easy, just a little time consuming waiting for the PATS system to time out.

How can I be sure of the authenticity of the key?

Usually the genuine ones have Ford written on them.

You do not really need to do PATS reset if you replace ICC and keep your original BEM. Your car will start add you only need to link new ICC to your car.
Premium ICC usually requires using Green BEM, so if original BEM is Blue, then yes you will need to put a green one and perform PATS reset that requires two proper keys. BTW, Chinese keys work just fine.
