Multible DTC with same timestamp

Hi FORScan,

I have an Ford S-Max 2.0 tdci from 2012. Today I got "Engine mal function in the display, and the engine went in soime sort of safe program. I got the following readout using FORDScan:

Possible causes :

Electrical connectors not fully engaged

Wiring Harness Short to Battery or Short to Ground

Faulty Sensor

Check for continuity shorts to ground and battery positive.

Inspect connectors for signs of damage, water ingress, corrosion, etc.

All DTC's has the same GLOCTIM and same TOTDIST. I suspect just one of the DTC's has caused the problem, and triggered the remaining DTC's. But since they all have the same time stamp, I don't know which were the first. Is there any way to find which were the first? Or can I change some settings, so it triggeres in milli seconds instead of seconds?

I would start with brake switch. test it and replace as this is a safety issue. They are usually a 2side switch. Brake light on one side, signal to ecm on other.

Hi Danbo,
Thank you for your reply.

Currently I'm suspecting a fault in the "Throttle/Pedal" sensor, since it is mentioned in the DTC describtions several times.
Have you seen these errror codes before and found the break switch to be the problem, or is it something else that points in that direction?

You will lose the pedal when it goes into limp, because of the original fault. Fix that and the pedal should come back. I f you think of it logically, if the ecu cannot see what the brakes are doing it will not let you set the c.control nor will it let you go speeding off. SAFETY
