hexadecimal calculation, entering into FORScan

Post by cbeami » Fri Feb 16, 2018 8:01 am

Hi all.

Below is the instructions for disabling chimes (2017 Ford Everest) when key in ignition, not on and door is open.
IPC
720-02-01 xx*x xxxx xxxx
To disable, subtract 8 from your current value there where the asterisk is.

When I go into my IPC module I get:
720.02.01: FF25 3C54 0EEC

Using the above instructions what do I enter when 2 - 8 = -6 (hexadecimal).
Im not sure how to disable the chimes.

Many thanks in advance.

Craig

Just thinking... can I enter a -6 or is there another character I'm suppose to use.

thanks

Every vehicle has different settings. You should be 100% sure that the instructions were given for your vehicle. There are no negative numbers in hex.
