Some trucks come with trailer tow package which makes it easier. Mine didnt i figure since i have forscan and extended license all i need to do is get OEM trailer brake controller and trailer brake harness 4 to 7 wire. Hook it up and get forscan on it activate it. Now my problem is since my truck didnt come with tow package is it even possible to try to activate it with forscan? Since they said that it did come equipped as trailer tow package?

Can i please get help enabling my Trailer Brake Controller on my 2017 Ford Expedition XLT EL. When i plug my cable and run the program the only item that comes up on my IPC is the ENGINE IDLE and ENGINE RUN HRS no other items.
I'm running the Forscan Beta version, and using a USB to ELM327 MS-CAN and HS-C

Uninstall latest version and install 2.3.32. It will give you the option to enable the gain setting. Here is link to older version downloads.

Have a 2018 f150. Not sure of model...it’s a work truck. But when I got in to forscan version 2.3.34 it won’t Bring up the gain settings. I have enabled the trailer Brake control module, but when I hit the switch nothing happens on the dash like I read it should. Do I need an older version of the forscan??? Thanks for info need to have it hooked up for the weekend.

I’ve been struggling for two whole days with the same issues as above in not seeing gain setting module on my 2018 XLT. Thank you very much for your guidance on this. I uninstalled the latest version of forscan and downloaded the 2.3.32 version as you recommended. Went back and in 5 minutes got it to work. Hooked up to my TT and worked like a champ.
