FORScan release notes v2.3.8

Post by FORScan »

Version 2.3.8 has 2 quite important functions added:

1. Built-in outcode-incode generator for pre-2011 vehicles with coded PATS. Now it is not necessary to use an outside outcode-incode generator that was often inconvenient. Corresponding article is updated: http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=839

2. Ability to read parameters (PIDs) from several modules simultaneously. New article is created to explain it: http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3334

Same exact issue as MarcoGaspar... Reading block 5 failed on a 07 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI, guys correct me if i`m wrong... do you need to load SBL to read the CCF form BCM? i dont think so.. you can read it by pid just send "22F105" read 512bytes from "0x00FF8000 to 0x00FF81FF" than after editing before sending it back divide it into the 5 blocks like :

1st block 0x00FF8000 to 0x00FF8057
2nd ........
3rd ........
4th ........
5th ........
proceed and send it back to BCM like:
1000x of 10 82`s :D + 27 01 Pass security, load SBL + activate it, erase + flash blocks and end it with a reset 11 81...
if the right person sees what i wrote here will PM me i might be able to help...

I installed this version on top of 2.3.6 which I used to connect in 2008 Escape L3 2.3L Gene. Export. Previous version 2.3.6 can read all modules however this version cannot read Instrument Cluster and ABS modules:

a. ABS Error "unable to read DTC,
b. Instrument Cluster U1900 "Missing the CAN message from the PCM".

What could be wrong? I reboot pc in Win 7 32Bit but still the same. Now I reverted back to 2.3.6 version...

Any plans to support PATS on cars with Advanced Keyless Entry and start?

I have a 2011 Mazda MX5/Miata with AKE and got the following message when trying to access PATS.

I'd be happy to help with this if you need any info from my car, or testing new features.

They key programming should be the same for AKE cars, as they use the same transponder engine immobiliser system with the auxiliary key. It would be nice to at least get key programming working. If we could also get AKE remote/FOB programming that would be outstanding!
