What is RTS Relay? Is it auto switch from HS to MS? If so, how to do it?

There is no article on English yet, in general it is a small board to switch between MS and HS CAN by signal from RTS line of COM port. It is more complex than mechanical switch (requires more skills), also at this moment it is only applicable for USB adapters. Here are some schemes:

Does this work with every USB-UART chipset? My USB adapter contains Prolific chipset PL2303.
Is this relay type latching or non latching?

Release notes FORScan v2.3.0

Post by FORScan »

New section "Configuration and Programming
At this moment the section contains only configuration functions. There is no Central Configuration management for majoirty of EU market vehicles (Mondeo Mk4, Focus Mk3, Galaxy/SMax from 2006, Transit from 2006 etc) - we had no chance to finish it. Also, there is no PCM configuration function yet.

We will write an article about the function. For now we would like to note that, although these functions were quite thoroughly tested for quite long period of time, it is not possible to test it on all vehicles. We recommend to be very accurate and don't do something if you don't know what you are doing. Please remember that all changes you do in a configuration are being done at your own risk!
- support for Wine (because of conflict with Extended Licensing system)
Unfortunately new version will most likely now work in Wine. We had to refuse support Wine to fix isses with Extened Licensing system that sometimes caused crash in case of license key expiration or hardware id change. We will think on developing dedicated version for Linux.

The extended license/functions were never working with wine (https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34558), but I will test to see whether basic functionality still works.

EDIT:Nope even the unregistered version displays the same problem as previous extended license.

Nice! I enabled the Daytime-Running-Lights on my 2010 Fusion with this feature.

Any idea how long until the programming (upgrading firmware) will be released?

Well, it will be the next big goal, and we are much closer to it now, but no exact ETA yet.
