Post by bwf9366 » Wed Feb 01, 2017 8:11 pm

hi thanks for the access to the forum.
i have a quick question i have 2007 mondeo which i am trying to add a second key to as it only came with one,
do i HAVE to delete all keys and add both keys back or should i just be able to add the spare key on its own.
thanks in advance for any help its greatly appreciated :-)

To answer simply no you don't need to erase all known keys you can just select add key.

However if keys are in hands of some one else who may steal car then yes delete all known and learn the two. But always make sure you have two keys avaliable as ford's need two keys learnt in order to start

One other possible scenario for why you would choose to erase all. If the Ford already knows 8 keys it will not allow you to add a 9th. 8 keys is max program on a ford.

Good luck

i have checked there are only 2 keys registered in pats.
i have tried all options in the pats menu but i keep getting incode incorrect even tho i have got the incode from autokeyprog.com.
