Fiesta mk7 - MFD Coding

Post by enyapneb »

Afternoon all,

Been playing around with variations of different coding's to try and get my sons new BLUE mfd display working but to no joy. The old screen was the mono/RED display.

He's bought a new screen and headunit (cd player part) which came from the same car. However i cant get it to play ball.

Any ideas as to what coding should be used? anyone got the BLUE screen in a mk7 they could take a image of the OEM coding's please ? All im getting is either "Ford 1hr Mode" or the below screen.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, the red unit you had is from the older mk7 Fiesta the new blue unit is from the mk7.5 they are different, think its more then just coding, you will need a wiring diagram for both mk7 and 7.5 models to compare the pin outs then make the necessary changes before coding.
Alas very few things on Fords are plug and play.

Ah crap that is a shame. Was hoping it was the case but should have guessed there was additional gear needed. Thanks any bud, much appreciated.

Sorry don't have wiring diagrams for mk7 or 7.5 Fiesta but someone may be able to help with this.
Did you also get the Front control panel (bit with buttons) too as this may also be different on the mk7.5. There are also 4 versions on mk7.5 Sony and none Sony versions, with and without Satnav again they are completely different.

That's ok. Currently trying to sus out why the DAB has now stopped working. All build info and HUD implies its there but when we fire it up it is bending and then goes back to standard FM/AM.

Yet another hurdle..... :x
