Since these forums have been absolutely useless for assistance, I went ahead and ordered a new adapter. I will update when I get it. Perhaps my headache will save others.

This is the one I went ahead and ordered. We'll see if that was the problem. Image

Not sure if you have checked this out but have a look at the first post and the links. https://www.f150forum.com/f129/forscan- ... 0s-481816/

That would be a good experiment with the results.

Your message earlier " FORScan OBD2 Adapter, VINT-TT55502 ELMconfig ELM327"
I made my own ELM327 and using v1.4b and has worked for many years
The OBDLink MX+ is a different beast and works quite well.
These new trucks with the new networks need a "smart adapter".
So your earlier mention, you need to prove that adapter you have on another vehicle.
From about 2018 and up, Ford changed their networks to provide more security.
The earlier J2534-2 CarDAQ Plus devices even struggled and replaced it with the CarDAQ Plus 2 because of diagnosis over IP.
It was my adapter. Tried the new one and it worked flawlessly!

Forscan dedicated an entire forum section to adapters. They even tell you which one to buy:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6142

Many people want to save a little money so they can use free software to make programming changes that a dealer would charge hundreds of dollars for....if they would do it at all.

Many forum "experts" simply stopped responding to anyone with mystery problems if they are using a cheaper adapter. An OBDlink adpter is the cost for admission into the world of Forscan forum responses.

Hi all--

Looking for help--purchased an ODBLinkEX and am consistently getting the "Service procedure has been interrupted" message for modules (not all, but some like PCM). I've been able to connect, and download (as a backup) some of AS BUILT modules, but right now have some that I can't backup as I get the "Service procedure has been interrupted" - I've not even attempted any changes.

Any thoughts? I went with the ODBLinkEX based on the feedback here and on the F150 forums, but right now I'm dead in the water. ODBLink support tried to help (change settings, other things to check, etc) but they seem stumped as well.

Thanks to anyone who might have an answer.

check and update the firmware on the adapter - there was a release a few months back that messed with the supported protocols. I did update to that and had a similar response from FORSCAN every time I tried anything. Updated to the currently listed last version and it works perfectly again.

Yes it will work to shut the double honk off.
Not on the 2021....
Well i have a 2021 f150 and I was able to hook up forscan and disable the honk through the BCM.
This worked on the 21 f150 platinum
