Mondeo MK3 TDCI

Post by DavieWeegie » Thu Aug 08, 2019 12:06 am

Hello,

Recoded the injectors in the Mondeo MK3 TDCI and now the car has very low idle speed, it suddenly jumps upto 800rpm after 3-10 secs, its also very smokey and lots of injector knocking. I have driven it for 2 days and done over 50 miles and it doesnt seem to be settling down.

I have coded the injectors as 1-3-4-2 which by all accounts seems correct, I have read that this problem may be due to MDP problems, is there any way to resolve this or does it need to be taken to Ford to fix it?

Bearing in mind this wasnt a problem before recoding the injectors with Forscan.

hi, i used the timing belt end as injector 1. on the rocker cover theres a sticker with injector codes in the order of 1-3-4-2, when checking the injectors in their physical order, injector 1 is at the timing belt end.

Did you code the injectors with the codes off the stickers or whats on the injectors themself.

the codes from the injectors themselves (although the codes on the sticker are the same as the injectors are original)

i have ordered a tunnelrat elm327 cable as im not sure my f super 2 (clone) is even coding them right so when it comes i'll try again.
