HID problems

Post by kyle.williams330 » Sat Nov 21, 2020 6:54 am

Hey all,
I've had my '17 superduty halogens retrofitted with quad projectors and morimoto HID. Im getting tones of BCM codes - B1D02: 15-48 circuit short to battery or open. Its the same fault but different code for my left highbeam, lowbeam, and right highbeam, lowbeam.

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try disabling the headlight outage detection. Here are some BCM codes. I used this area to replace my OEM HID headlights to OEM LED lights on my '17 Lincoln MKZ.
726-26-02 xxxx xxx* xxxx Frequency Select Cfg: 0=Type 0 (LED), 1=Type 1 (Halogen), 2=Type 2, 3=Type 3
**Set to 0 for Halogen to OEM LED conversion
726-26-02 xxxx xxxx x*xx Outage Headlamps Cfg: 0=none, 1=both, 2=high, 3=low
726-27-01 0000 xxxx xxxx Front Light Outage Detection Disable when adding aftermarket LEDs/HIDs in Halogen Bucket
726-27-01 x*xx xxxx xxxx Front bulb turn outage cfg: 1=outage, 0=no outage
726-27-01 xxx* xxxx xxxx Front LED turn outage cfg: 0=no outage, 1=outage

you can go to the bottom and select whichever component you wish to get configuration settings on.

I changed all the values in my BCM. It didn't change anything for me. Its my understanding that those codes will still be there but are those codes causing my HID's to work sporadically? I am consistently driving around with any where from 1-4 of my quad projectors working. More often than not I only have 2 of them working.
