Extended License problems

Post by nyker4life » Wed Dec 27, 2017 4:46 am

Got the download for the extended license but it is a .key file. I am running windows 7 and cannot open the file. can somebody help me? I searched this forum and do not get anything related to this file type. Google really wasnt much help. Says I can use power point to open it but cannot get that to work either. Thanks

This is a FORScan forum where you have to sign up in order to use the module and even get the extended license. Guess I can assume nobody has had this issue before? I'm about to toss this thing and figure out a different way to do the same thing.

Sorry for the late response, but for future reference I was able to complete this on Windows 7 by going into Forscan, then About, and under the "Register" tab you can search for the .key file and open it directly through ForScan.

have used forscan before with my OBDLink MX and registered for a license without any issue, just wondering why now it is saying that my hardware ID is wrong?
